About

Ankur Chattopadhyay currently resides in Berhampore, West Bengal, India and is pursuing his Bachelors in The Undergraduate Programme in Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore.

As a Freshman of the CSE Dept. Of GCETTB, Ankur collaborated in a web development project with one of his yearmates. Ankur also took up certificate courses from NPTEL on Programming using C and achieved Elite and Gold certifications.

In his Sophomore year, Ankur resorted to everything online to satisfy his hunger for exploring Python. Codewars and courses on Coursera and edX helped him a lot to get his concepts correct and try clever coding variations. He also achieved Elite certification from NPTEL in Programming in C++ and completed other MOOCs with certification.

He started his Junior year as a Python Developer Intern at Tata Motors GDC, Pune. He was assigned to work on a live HR Chatbot project and helped integration of the bot on Telegram using AWS DynamoDB as a database solution. His interest to contribute to Open Source increased multifold during his GirlScript Summer of Code 2020 challenge, where he was ranked among the Top 5 contributors in the leaderboard. Later in the year, be collaborated with Caim Consulting to provide an online presence for their venture.

Starting his Senior year, he interned with Designride, Mumbai as a Django developer.

His favourite website to spend time on is GitHub and he believes that being consistent in something is more important than knowing everything.

As an individual, Ankur is a vivid bibliophile and loves travelling. Swimming intrigues him as a worthy exercise. Racquet sports are also something he seems to have a knack for, whether it’s badminton or table tennis.
